Job summary

Workiva Inc. is seeking a Data Research and Collection Intern to research ESMA mandates and identify new use cases for Wdesk.

You will collaborate with the marketing team to uncover market opportunities and suggest product improvements aligned with regulatory requirements. As an intern, you will analyze data, help prioritize feature development, and assess how Wdesk is used by EU customers, enabling the company to adapt offerings for regulatory needs.

Job description

The Data Research and Collection Intern collects and interprets data for our customers affected by the new European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) mandate. You will work closely with our marketing team to identify new use cases for Wdesk and suggest product improvements related to the ESMA mandate.

What You'll Do

• Perform market research on the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) mandate
• Collect information on companies' current compliance with ESMA disclosure requirements and gather information comparing current state to present and potential future Wdesk functionality
• Analyze data to drive decision-making on new features of Wdesk
• Suggest new product development priorities for Wdesk after gathering market data
• Analyze use of Wdesk by current customers in the EU

What You'll Need

• Currently enrolled in a degree‑seeking program from an accredited university
• A research mentality
• Proven ability to analyze data
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self‑motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement
• The ability to work successfully in a high‑energy, fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
• Experience using Excel to collect and analyze data

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

Minimal travel Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office

Location

This internship is primarily a remote opportunity. However, if you are located near one of our office hubs, you are welcome to work in a hybrid capacity and utilize our office spaces.
