When Brown Girls Lead is seeking an experienced Math Instructional Coach to strengthen mathematics teaching across partner schools in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Qualifications

• Experience teaching mathematics in K–12 classrooms.
• Experience coaching educators and providing professional learning.
• Strong understanding of math standards, curriculum and assessment.
• Ability to analyze classroom evidence and student data to inform coaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, job-embedded coaching through observations and feedback.
• Support teachers in rigorous, standards-aligned mathematics instruction.
• Help teachers strengthen questioning, differentiation, student discourse, and opportunities for independent problem-solving.
• Build trusting, productive relationships with teachers that promote reflection, professional growth, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with school leaders to identify instructional priorities and establish clear goals for improvement.
• Use classroom observation evidence, student work, and assessment data to identify trends and inform coaching priorities.
