Job summary

KIPP Capital Region in Albany/Troy, NY seeks an Instructional Coach to support teachers and school leadership. The role emphasizes observing instruction, providing feedback, designing curriculum, and analyzing data to improve student outcomes.

You will collaborate with the Content Academic Team, guide scope and sequence, model best practices, and coach teachers across grade levels in alignment with state and national standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• 5 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Proficiency managing a team, coaching teachers and/or designing curriculum.
• Experience in urban schools and diverse communities is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and foster inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Observe instructional delivery and provide feedback to develop teachers' content area.
• Support design of units and lessons for year-long curriculum development.
• Analyze data to modify curriculum and assessments to meet student needs.
• Collaborate with academic staff to share best practices and advise on instructional strategies.
• Advise principals and teachers on intervention programs and instructional decisions.
• Design and implement school-wide assessments and align resources with performance data.
• Cultivate a standards-based, data-driven culture and model best practices.
• Coach teachers with backward design, scope/sequence, and evidence-based strategies.
