Job summary

Avnet is seeking a Senior Marvell Applications Engineer to serve as a technical lead for switching, PHY, and processor SoCs. This remote role focuses on hardware aspects, acting as a resident expert for Avnet's customers and providing engineering support across Linux BSP, U-Boot, and device drivers.

You will collaborate with FAEs, work on complex HW/SW issues, and participate in customer-driven field investigations while maintaining independence and strong time-management skills.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of related work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4–7 years with a master’s degree.
• Strong hardware background in network SoCs, switches, PHYs, SerDes, PCIe, and related interfaces.
• Experience debugging with protocol analyzers and Ethernet traffic generators.
• Experience with Linux BSP, U-Boot, and board-level software issues.
• Ability to travel to customer sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for Marvell networking products and architectures.
• Provide software and system-level hardware support to customers.
• Collaborate with FAEs and customers on hardware design and integration.
• Perform schematic reviews and assist with feature implementation at system level.
• Escalate and resolve issues with Avnet and Marvell teams.
