Job summary

Avnet is seeking a Marvell Applications Engineer to lead hardware-focused support for Marvell switching, PHY, and processor SoCs. This role emphasizes hands-on technical guidance, collaboration with field teams, and remote customer engagement.

You will act as a resident expert, enabling designs and debugging at the hardware/software boundary, including Linux BSP and boot loader challenges, with occasional travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded hardware (Network SoCs, switches, PHYs, SerDes, PCIe, XAUI, SGMII, DDR)
• Experience programming boot devices such as Flash and EEPROMs
• Knowledge of peripherals (Flash, eMMC, SPI) and Ethernet protocols

Responsibilities

• Understand Marvell networking components and train on product portfolios
• Architect optimum Marvell-based device solutions from customer requirements
• Collaborate with FAEs to provide hardware/software support including Linux BSP and boot loaders
• Perform schematic reviews and assist with bug resolution using debuggers
• Loster technical liaison between Avnet FAE and Marvell teams for escalation
