Job summary

Avnet is seeking a Marvell Applications Engineer to lead hardware-focused technical work for networking products in a remote capacity. You will serve as a resident expert and provide system-level support for customers, leveraging your deep experience with embedded hardware, Ethernet, and Marvell reference designs.

The role requires strong problem-solving ability, collaboration with FAEs and customers, and occasional travel to sites.

Qualifications

• Requires experience with embedded systems hardware (Network SOCs, switches, PHYs, SerDes, PCIe, XAUI, SGMII, DDR).
• Experience programming boot devices (IP/NAND Flash, EEPROMs).
• Knowledge of peripherals (Flash like NAND/eMMC/SPI, SDIO, USB, I2C, SPI).
• Experience debugging with protocol analyzers and Ethernet traffic generators/testers.
• Strong Ethernet networking background (TSN, AVB, TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, ICMP).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer problems; willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Marvell networking components; stay updated on product portfolios.
• Architect optimum Marvell-based device solutions for customer requirements.
• Collaborate with field engineers to provide hardware/software support including Linux BSP and drivers.
• Perform schematic reviews and assist customers with feature implementations at system level.
• Escalate and resolve issues with Avnet and Marvell engineering teams; train FAEs and customers.
