Job summary

Avnet is seeking a Marvell Applications Engineer to lead hardware-focused support for Marvell Switching, PHY, and processor SoCs in a remote capacity. The role acts as a resident expert and technical resource for Avnet's customer base.

You will engage with FAEs to deliver software and system-level hardware support, including Linux BSP, U-boot, and board design debug, while coordinating with Marvell engineering teams for issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded system hardware (Network SOC’s, switches, PHYs, SerDes, PCIe, XAUI, SGMII, DDR)
• Experience programming boot devices such as (IP/NAND) Flash, EEPROMs
• Peripherals: Flash devices (NAND/eMMC/SPI), SDIO, HS USB, GE, Serial, I2C, SPI
• Experience debugging with protocol analyzers (e.g. Wireshark) and Ethernet testers (IXIA)
• Strong Ethernet networking background: TSN, AVB, TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, ICMP

Responsibilities

• Understand Marvell networking components and how to use them
• Architect optimum Marvell-based device solutions based on customer requirements
• Investigate HW/SW issues and replicate in Marvell lab
• Provide software and system-level hardware support (Linux BSP, U-boot, drivers)
• Perform schematic reviews
• Identify and resolve customer-reported issues
• Assist customers with API and platform-level feature implementation
• Coordinate between Avnet FAE and Marvell teams for escalation
• Participate in Marvell AE training and train others
