Propel seeks a Senior Tech Lead Manager to set the technical direction for the Marketplace and lead the engineers who build it. You’ll design architecture, own onboarding, and drive collaboration with product, design, and data to deliver impactful offers to ~5M users.

As a player-coach, you’ll manage 3-5 engineers across sub-teams, hire and develop talent, and push for scalable, efficient systems while maintaining a strong, inclusive remote-first culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing and developing web or mobile applications, preferably ad tech or consumer products.
• 2+ years managing engineers in a remote-first startup.
• Strong AI skills and the ability to think systematically about where to use AI.
• Growth mindset, curiosity, and interest in how Marketplace operates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with government services (SNAP, WIC, TANF, SSI, Medicaid) is a plus.
