Job summary

Leidos Energy is seeking an Energy Market Analyst to support a growing North American power market consulting practice. You will help develop market projections, valuations, and reports for utilities, developers, financial institutions, and energy service companies.

You will analyze market data, model generation assets with Aurora/ProMod or similar tools, and contribute new approaches to emerging energy issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6–10 years in economic consulting for North American energy.
• Strong knowledge of major US regional power markets.
• Proficiency with Aurora, ProMod, or similar market simulation tools.
• Excellent Excel data analysis and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop asset and portfolio market projections and valuations and draft Market Consultant’s Reports for utilities and energy firms.
• Conduct independent market research and modeling of power generation assets using Leidos tools and licensed software.
• Propose new approaches to addressing emerging issues in the North American energy sector to support clients.
