Job summary

Horace Mann seeks a strategic Manager, Workplace Solutions Enablement to translate priorities into execution across multiple departments. You will lead a small initial team and collaborate with Product, Distribution, Marketing, Ops, Tech, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and CX to deliver measurable business results.

You will work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment with ambiguity, build structured plans, and provide leadership visibility into progress, risks, and tradeoffs that matter most.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• In insurance, with Supplemental Insurance or Group Benefits experience.
• Experience across multiple insurance value chain components: Product, Distribution, Ops, Marketing, Tech, CX.
• Previous people leadership with development and workload management responsibility.
• AUTONOMOUS work style with limited supervision.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Strong business judgment to escalate when needed.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate priorities into actionable plans, workstreams, deliverables and enablement activities.
• Lead complex initiatives across product, distribution, go-to-market, digital, operations and integration.
• Partner across functions to drive alignment and remove barriers.
• Represent Worksite Development and Supplemental & Group priorities in cross-functional discussions.
• Directly lead an initial team of two, with accountability for performance and development.
• Coach and develop team members with clear expectations and accountability.
• Create structure, ownership, milestones, and measures of success for key initiatives.
• Develop scalable, repeatable ways of working to improve execution across initiatives.
