Job summary

Slalom is seeking a seasoned Mainframe QA Lead to drive manual testing for a large Core Banking modernization program. You will oversee test execution across mainframe and integrated banking applications, ensuring data integrity and end-to-end process validation.

You will lead defect management, collaborate with stakeholders, and guide test planning and release readiness. This role is remote with EST hours and a project-based contract with a defined end date.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience.
• Proven experience leading manual testing on large enterprise programs.
• Strong experience testing mainframe applications and transactions.
• Hands-on experience with Tosca and qTest.

Responsibilities

• Lead manual testing activities for a critical workstream within a large-scale core banking transformation program.
• Execute test cases and validate business processes across mainframe and integrated banking applications.
• Create, maintain, and enhance test scripts, test scenarios, and test execution documentation.
• Validate end-to-end account lifecycle and account servicing processes across multiple systems.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accurate transmission of customer and account information between applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and other QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Support test planning, defect triage, status reporting, and release readiness activities.
• Utilize test management and execution tools to manage testing activities and reporting.
