Slalom is seeking an experienced Mainframe QA Lead to support a large-scale Core Banking Modernization and Core Deposit Replacement program. This role focuses on leading manual testing across critical banking applications, ensuring quality and reliability across integrated systems.

The position is remote with EST hours and a project-based contract from Oct 15, 2026, through Jun 30, 2027, offering exposure to enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and collaboration with business stakeholders

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience.
• Experience leading manual testing efforts on large enterprise programs.
• Strong experience testing mainframe applications and transactions.
• Navigate mainframe screens and validate data across interconnected systems.
• Experience developing and executing manual test cases and test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Tosca and qTest.
• Experience validating complex data elements, business rules, and downstream processing results.
• Strong defect management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead manual testing activities for a core banking transformation workstream.
• Execute test cases across mainframe and banking apps.
• Create and maintain test scripts, scenarios, and execution docs.
• Validate end-to-end account lifecycle and servicing processes.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation across systems.
• Identify, document, and track defects to resolution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and QA teams for test coverage.
• Support test planning, triage, status reporting, and release readiness.
• Utilize test management tools to manage testing activities.
