Job summary

CTG is seeking a Mainframe Developer (COBOL/CICS/DB2) to support enterprise application development and maintenance in an IBM z/OS environment. This contract role is remote and initially 5 months, offering exposure to high-volume mainframe systems.

You'll design, code, test, and optimize COBOL applications, use Endevor for source control, and collaborate with analysts, QA, and operations to ensure performance and stability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain IBM Mainframe z/OS applications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring application stability and performance.
• Perform code maintenance, enhancements, and application modernization activities.
• Utilize Endevor for source code management and application deployment.
• Develop and execute unit testing and support system integration testing.
• Document technical designs, programming changes, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
