Job summary

HAN Staffing urgently seeks a Senior Mainframe Application Developer to join our client's team. You will lead hands-on development on IBM Z/OS COBOL with CICS, DB2, MQ, IMS, VSAM, JCL, CA7, Changeman and related mainframe utilities.

The role requires 10–12 years of experience in a large enterprise, strong debugging and problem-solving skills, and a solid grasp of the SDLC with agile practices. On-call rotation and cross-functional collaboration are expected in a fast-paced, time-sensitive

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience in IBM-Z/OS COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, IBM MQ, VSAM, JCL, CA7, Changeman and IBM Mainframe Utilities.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills in a large corporate environment.
• Knowledge of SDLC and agile practices such as CI/CD and application resiliency.
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams and provide on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve mainframe issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain COBOL programs with CICS, DB2, IMS and MQ.
• Utilize VSAM, JCL, CA7, Changeman and IBM utilities in production environments.
• Participate in production issue resolution and on-call rotations.
