Job summary

Nelnet seeks a M365 Engineer to administer and govern Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Viva, Power Platform, Fabric, Azure, and Copilot. You will partner with business and technical teams to deliver secure, reliable collaboration, automation, analytics and AI-enabled workplace solutions.

The role requires 3+ years of enterprise Microsoft 365 experience, governance focus, and the ability to work remotely in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
• Experience governing SharePoint Online and related workloads.
• Experience with Viva, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Fabric, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting Azure services and governance.
• Experience with Copilot readiness, adoption, governance, or enablement.
• PowerShell, Graph API, Power Platform automation, Azure Automation, Logic Apps, REST APIs, JSON, webhooks.
• Security and compliance concepts: MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, retention policies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently on incidents.

Responsibilities

• Modern Workplace Platform Administration & Governance across SharePoint Online, Viva, Power Platform, Fabric, Azure, and Copilot.
• SharePoint Online collaboration, content management, permissions, site architecture, and governance.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify automation, workflow, and analytics opportunities.
• Support Fabric and Power BI administration for data integration and reporting.
• Administer Azure services supporting Modern Workplace solutions and governance.
• Support Copilot readiness, adoption, and end-user enablement; maintain documentation and runbooks.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell, Graph API, REST APIs, and related tooling.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to enforce governance and change management.
