Nelnet is seeking a Remote M365 Engineer to administer and govern SharePoint Online, Viva, Power Platform, Fabric, and Azure services, with Copilot readiness and automation across the Modern Workplace. The role emphasizes governance, security, and continuous improvement.

Requires 3+ years in enterprise M365, SharePoint Online governance, and experience with Power Platform, Power BI, and Copilot Studio. Strong scripting skills and privacy/compliance knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
• Experience administering and governing SharePoint Online and related collaboration workloads.
• Experience with Microsoft Viva, Power Platform, Power BI, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Fabric, or similar business solution platforms.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Azure services related to Modern Workplace solutions, including platform governance and application integrations.
• Experience supporting Copilot for Microsoft 365 readiness, adoption, governance, or enablement activities.
• Experience with scripting and automation technologies (PowerShell, Graph API, REST APIs, JSON, webhooks).
• Familiarity with security and compliance concepts (MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, retention).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently on complex incidents.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support SharePoint Online, Microsoft Viva, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, Azure services, and Copilot with governance and reliability focus.
• Support collaboration sites, content management, permissions, and information governance across Microsoft 365 workloads.
• Identify automation, workflow, reporting, and digital transformation opportunities using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio.
• Support Fabric and Power BI administration for data integration and analytics within governance standards.
• Manage Azure services supporting Modern Workplace solutions, including subscriptions, resource groups, and serverless services.
• Support Copilot readiness and adoption, governance, and end-user enablement activities.
• Automate tasks using scripting and integration technologies; assist with security, compliance, change management and documentation.
