Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an experienced M&A and Accounting Policy Manager to guide the full lifecycle of transactions, from due diligence to post-close integration. You will help shape accounting policies in collaboration with Legal, Tax, and Controllership.

You will lead external advisors, craft memos and disclosures, and ensure SOX controls are robust while partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of progressive accounting experience with Big 4 and industry background.
• Broad US GAAP knowledge including ASC 805, ASC 321, ASC 323, ASC 810.
• Experience leading financial due diligence and deal-related risks.
• Proven ability to manage external advisors and ensure delivery quality.
• Ability to draft technical accounting memos and disclosures for cross-functional teams.
• Responsible use of AI with human oversight to improve workflow.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial due diligence on target companies, including earnings quality and working capital assessments.
• Own end-to-end purchase accounting under ASC 805, including PPA and goodwill.
• Drive accounting treatment for strategic investments under ASC 321, ASC 323, ASC 810.
• Evolve accounting policies via technical memos and close with external auditors.
• Deliver footprints for 10-Q/10-K and ensure SOX controls are effective.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, Tax, FP&A, and Corporate Development on new launches.
