Job summary

Armstrong Transport Group (ATG) in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an LTL Invoice Resolution Specialist to research and resolve carrier invoice discrepancies and billing exceptions while supporting ATG agents, customers, carriers, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and persistent, capable of handling complex billing issues from identification to final resolution. Remote candidates are considered; position may also be based in Atlanta or Chicago with hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, logistics, billing, accounts payable, or invoice resolution.
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in reviewing charges and docs.
• Analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review LTL carrier invoices and identify discrepancies between quoted and billed charges.
• Research and resolve billing exceptions including reweighs, reclassifications, and accessorials.
• Validate charges against pricing agreements, tariffs, and shipment documentation.
• Submit and manage carrier billing disputes with supporting documentation and follow-up.
• Communicate with LTL carriers to obtain corrections or credits and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with agents, operations, pricing, billing, claims and accounting teams.
• Track disputes and aging items with clear notes and proactive follow-up.
• Identify recurring trends and elevate opportunities for process improvements.
• Maintain organized dispute records within ATG systems.
