Job summary

Interlix Staffing is seeking a Low Voltage Security Estimator to lead projects from plan review through estimating, bidding and submittals, with Division 27 and 28 scopes as the core focus. You will also handle drawings, RFIs/ RFQs, RFQs, and vendor outreach for non-spec items.

The ideal candidate has solid U.S.-based estimating experience, strong blueprint reading, and the full bidding process knowledge, plus proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Adobe, Procore and Buildings.net.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of U.S.-based estimating experience.
• Blueprint reading ability (non-negotiable).
• Experience estimating low voltage and security systems (CCTV, access control, intercoms).
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Adobe.
• Experience with bidding platforms such as Procore and Buildings.net.
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, blueprints, notes, and project requirements for low voltage and security scopes.
• Perform material and labor takeoffs for Division 27 and 28 systems (alarms, CCTV, access control, cabling).
• Estimate related Division 8 scopes (door hardware, electrified locking).
• Develop system designs and prepare project drawings.
• Prepare and manage submittals (with bid or after award).
• Prepare and submit RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Vendor outreach for pricing (including non-spec items).
• Create complete, competitive project proposals and bid packages.
• Bid private/commercial, city, state, federal work (Procore, Buildings.net).
• Manage multiple bids and deadlines; work independently through full estimating process.
