Job summary

Manatal is hiring a Low Voltage Estimator to support commercial projects involving Structured Cabling, Premise, Security, and A/V systems. This hands-on role reviews drawings, prices labor and materials, and collaborates with internal teams, vendors, and general contractors to generate accurate bids.

The candidate will analyze drawings, perform takeoffs, prepare bids, and maintain bid documentation, ensuring timely submissions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• Experience with low voltage, security, and/or A/V systems.
• Proficient in Excel, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet (or comparable tools).
• Attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills.
• BICSI RCDD preferred or willingness to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and design documents to determine project scope
• Perform quantity takeoffs and build cost estimates across multiple phases
• Prepare bids, submit RFIs, and verify material, labor, and insurance costs
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, and subcontractors to align scope and pricing
• Maintain accurate records of bids, documentation, and estimate data
• Conduct site visits as needed to evaluate conditions and material needs
• Engage with vendors to source pricing and explore value engineering opportunities
• Support change order evaluations and update budgets when needed
