Job summary

Regional Reporting, Inc. (RRI) is seeking an experienced Insurance Loss Control Consultant to perform commercial insurance inspections and prepare underwriting reports.

The role involves driving to sites, inspecting facilities, and documenting findings online for underwriting purposes. Responsibilities include taking measurements and photos, identifying hazards and construction details, and delivering timely reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience with Loss Control providers or major Insurance Carriers.
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance lines – Property, General Liability, Inland Marine.
• Ability to identify building construction and ISO classes.
• Broad understanding of NFPA codes.
• Solid communication and time management skills.
• Exceptional writing ability, organizational skills and computer skills.
• Ability to work from home with a PC, high-speed internet, and a cell/smart phone.
• An automobile and valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to climb a ladder up to 6 feet.
• Digital camera or smartphone with picture capability; measuring wheel or similar tool.

Responsibilities

• Record onsite observations, measurements and photos per carrier requirements.
• Identify building construction type, square footage and hazards.
• Complete assignments on time according to due dates.
• Communicate regularly with Field Manager to complete inspections efficiently.
• Coordinate inspection times with insured onsite representatives.
• Prepare and report inspection results and diagrams; upload photos.
• Travel to insured locations; overnight travel may be required.
