Job summary

Regional Reporting, Inc. (RRI) seeks an experienced Insurance Loss Control Consultant to perform commercial inspections across our coverage area in the United States.

You will gather observations, photos and measurements, assess exposures, and prepare underwriting reports online. You will travel to insured locations (overnight travel possible), work from home with a PC and phone, and coordinate with field management to complete assignments on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Loss Control providers or major carriers.
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance lines - Property, General Liability and Inland Marine.
• Ability to identify building construction and ISO classes.
• Broad understanding of NFPA codes.
• Solid communication and time management skills.
• Exceptional writing ability, organizational skills and computer skills.
• Ability to work from home with a PC, high-speed internet and a cell phone.
• Automobile and valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to climb a ladder up to 6 feet.
• Digital camera or smartphone with picture capability.
• Measuring wheel or similar tool, and camera pole.

Responsibilities

• Recording onsite observations, taking measurements and photos per carrier requirements.
• Identifying building and roof construction type, square footage and hazards.
• Timely completion of assignments and reports by due dates.
• Communicating regularly with Field Manager to complete inspections efficiently.
• Coordinating inspection times with insured representatives onsite.
• Preparing and reporting inspection results, uploading photos and diagrams.
• Driving to insured locations; overnight travel may be required.
