Job summary

Regional Reporting, Inc. seeks an experienced Insurance Loss Control Consultant to perform commercial insurance inspections and prepare underwriting reports.

You will drive to sites, photograph facilities, and document observations to assess exposures. The role supports the underwriting process and may involve overnight travel based on location. Work from home is supported with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Loss Control Providers or Major Insurance Carriers.
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance lines - Property, General Liability, Inland Marine.
• Ability to identify building construction and ISO classes.
• Broad understanding of NFPA codes.
• Solid communication, time management and writing skills.
• Ability to work from home with a PC, high-speed internet and a cell phone.
• Automobile and valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to climb a ladder up to 6 feet.
• Digital camera or smartphone with picture capability.
• Measuring wheel or similar tool and camera pole.

Responsibilities

• Record onsite observations, take measurements and photos per carrier requirements.
• Identify building and roof construction type, square footage, potential hazards.
• Complete assignments/reports on time according to due dates.
• Communicate with Field Manager to complete inspections efficiently.
• Coordinate inspection meetings with insured representatives onsite.
• Prepare and report inspection results, upload photos and diagrams.
• Travel to insured locations; overnight travel may be required.
