Job summary

Farmers Bank of Willards in Maryland is seeking an entry-level Loan Servicing Specialist I to support post-closing loan processing, servicing setup, and data accuracy. You will work with the core banking system and assist customers with servicing needs.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and strong communication as you process payments, handle inquiries, and maintain loan records. Remote work is available on a limited basis within a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 year of experience in banking, finance, or administrative support.
• Prior exposure to loan servicing or operations is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Enter new loans into the core banking/servicing system.
• Validate loan data including borrower information, interest rates, payment schedules, escrow setup, and collateral records.
• Review closed loan packages for completeness and accuracy in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process daily loan payments and apply them accurately to customer accounts.
• Respond to borrower inquiries regarding loan terms and servicing issues.
• Monitor and update insurance records for secured loans.
• Proactively contact customers following loan closing to ensure satisfaction with the loan process.
• Learn and follow servicing procedures, regulatory guidelines, and internal compliance standards.
