Job summary

Johnson Behavioral Health Center is seeking a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) for a fully remote, full-time position. You will provide individual, group, and family therapy, conduct assessments, and develop evidence-based treatment plans for diverse clients in the Tacoma area.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or closely related field.
• Active licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of Washington.
• At least two years of direct experience providing therapeutic services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster therapeutic relationships.
• Competency in electronic health record systems for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead individual, group, and family therapy sessions focused on anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, and interpersonal issues.
• Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments and create individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for holistic treatment approaches.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant, meticulous electronic health records for client interactions and outcomes.
• Engage in clinical supervision and professional development to maintain licensure and skills.
• Respond to crisis situations with prompt assessments and interventions.
