Urban Renewal Center in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a licensed LMFT for a full-time remote position focused on mood disorders. You will conduct evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, and apply CBT/DBT to support clients across diverse backgrounds.

Collaborating with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team, you will monitor progress, educate families, and stay abreast of research to enhance care while maintaining confidential records and ethical practice.

Qualifications

• A current and active state license as an LMFT.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building trusting therapeutic relationships.
• Empathetic, compassionate, and nonjudgmental approach toward clients.
• Strong organizational and time management skills for caseloads and administration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize CBT and DBT to provide structured therapies.
• Educate clients and families on mood disorders and treatment options.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans based on assessments.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals for integrated care.
• Stay informed on mood disorder research and incorporate new strategies.
• Maintain confidential client records in compliance with guidelines.
• Engage in case consultations, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Advocate for clients and work to reduce stigma around mental health.
