Job summary

Tyson & Mendes, a nationally recognized insurance defense litigation firm, seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our San Diego team. You’ll handle discovery, trial preparation, and critical supporting tasks while collaborating with accomplished attorneys.

The role offers remote flexibility with no regular in-office attendance, while still connecting you to a strong local team and national resources.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification is required.
• 3–5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
• Experience with California litigation is required.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with propounding and responding to discovery and motions, including preparation of supporting documents and hearing binders.
• Manage trial preparation: coordinate witnesses and travel, trial exhibits, charts, trial notebook, subpoenas.
• Independently obtain, review and organize medical records and billings; calculate damages.
• Work as part of a team with all levels of experience.
• Maintain routine communications with clients, experts, and attorneys about case status and preparation.
