Job summary

Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, seeks a detail-oriented Docketing Specialist to manage court and agency deadlines using Aderant Milana. This full-time remote role supports the firm-wide litigation support team in a high-volume environment.

You will calendar deadlines, audit entries, and collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure timely reminders and reports. California docketing experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of California docketing experience.
• In-depth understanding of civil litigation procedures, court rules (federal and state), and deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a multi-office environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Familiarity with electronic filing systems (CM/ECF, PACER) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and monitor deadlines using Aderant Milana.
• Analyze court, agency, arbitration, and administrative filings to calendar deadlines accurately.
• Maintain litigation calendars and provide timely reminders and reports.
• Review new matters and filings to identify docketing requirements.
• Perform regular audits of docket entries for accuracy and compliance with rules.
• Research and apply federal, state, local, agency, and arbitration rules when calendaring.
• Stay current on jurisdictional rule changes and update calendaring protocols.
• Serve as a resource to attorneys and staff on calendaring rules and deadlines.
• Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and paralegals to follow docketing protocols.
• Assist with development and improvement of docketing procedures.
• Train users on Milana and docketing workflows.
• Generate and distribute docket reports and deadline reminders.
• Assist with subpoena and deposition tracking and trial dates.
