Job summary

Holland & Hart seeks a Litigation Docketing Specialist in Colorado to support national, multi-jurisdictional docketing across the firm. The role reports to the Docketing Manager and emphasizes accuracy in deadline entry and proactive communication with case teams.

The position requires knowledge of Colorado state and federal court rules, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to learn new software. Schedule is hybrid, with some in-office days as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Two (2) + years of litigation docketing, calendaring and civil procedure experience.
• Knowledge of various Court websites, litigation procedures, docket searching and document retrieval databases.
• Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
• Ability to read a legal document and determine if a future deadline is evident.
• Strong knowledge of Colorado state and federal court rules and procedures.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Make entries of litigation deadlines into the docketing database following docketing procedures.
• Review filed documents and docketing requests to ensure deadlines are identified and docketed.
• Perform research to verify applicability of deadlines.
• Communicate with case teams to gather information for accurate docketing.
• Handle all case team inquiries and requests promptly.
• Monitor internal inboxes for receipt and retention of court filings.
• Monitor cases using online resources and distribute documents as requested.
• Support multiple projects as assigned by the Docketing Manager or seniors.
• Maintain litigation docketing team protocols.
