Job summary

Confidential Employer is seeking a California-licensed attorney to join a litigation team focused on public entity defense. The role is remote-first within the California Bay Area with in-person appearances as needed, and the attorney will manage a growing caseload with increasing independence.

The ideal candidate has a JD, a California Bar license, and at least one year of experience in litigation, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to handle multiple matters efficiently while

• Active California Bar license required.
• 1+ year of litigation experience.
• Residency in or willingness to relocate to the California Bay Area.
• Strong research, writing and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload with increasing independence.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to achieve outstanding client outcomes.
• Communicate with clients regarding litigation strategy, case developments, and recommendations.
• Maintain organized case files while meeting litigation deadlines.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year

Location:

Remote within the California Bay Area. Enjoy the flexibility to work from home while remaining available to attend court appearances and in-person proceedings throughout the Bay Area as needed.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in California, have at least 1 year of litigation experience, and reside in (or be willing to relocate to) the Bay Area to attend court hearings and related proceedings.
