Job summary

CAPPS LLC is seeking a Litigation Assistant to support California litigation matters. You will hear and trial prepare, and provide attorney support while working with our California attorneys and other support staff handling collection litigation in California.

The role is remote with a standard 8am-5pm schedule in the employee’s time zone, and requires experience with California litigation from a law firm or court.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
Preference for some college education and/or paralegal studies.
Experience with California litigation in a law firm or Court.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Update electronic files.
Handle calls to Court staff.
Prepare documents for hearings and trial folders.
Assist with preparation of pleadings and correspondence.
Process mail daily and ensure information is updated in the Firm’s file system.
Scan, copy, print, and redact legal documents.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
