Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking a Litigation Assistant to support California attorneys with hearing and trial preparation and attorney support. The role is remote with the potential for collaboration across the firm and requires strong document handling and organization.

The position involves managing court communications, preparing pleadings and correspondence, and maintaining accurate file systems. A consistent schedule supports 8am–5pm in the employee’s time zone.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Preference for some college education and/or paralegal studies.
• Experience with California litigation from employment with a law firm or Court.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Handles phone calls to and from Court staff.
• Assists with preparation of documents to be filed for hearings and trial folders.
• Assists with preparation of pleadings and correspondence.
• Processes mail daily and ensures all information updated properly in the Firm’s file system.
• Scans, copies, prints, and redacts legal documents.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
