California Job Shop seeks a Remote Legal Assistant to manage litigation cases from start to finish, with strong word processing and communication skills. After an initial 30 days in Irvine, the role shifts to remote work, reporting to the Director of Legal Operations and Irvine Office Managing Partner.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a Litigation/Legal Assistant, proficiency in MS Office 365, and experience with eFiling in State and Federal courts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework preferred.
• Must have 5+ years of experience as a Litigation/Legal Assistant in a litigation environment.
• Experience in calendaring, researching court rules/local rules/judge's rules, and cross-check calendaring using specified software.
• Experience with eFiling in State and Federal courts; including tables of authority, bookmarking exhibits, redacting and Bates stamping.
• Proficient in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Duties include travel arrangements, expense reports, entering attorney timesheets, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
