Job summary

Amplify is seeking an Instructional Coach for Literacy to join our Professional Development team in a fixed-term role supporting MCPS for the 2026-2027 school year. The position requires residency near Montgomery County, MD, and local travel to schools across the district several days per week.

The role focuses on coaching teachers, leading PLCs, analyzing data, and supporting HQIM implementation in literacy across Amplify products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of K-5 ELA teaching experience with demonstrable results.
• Experience leading sustained coaching engagements and professional development for educators.
• Ability to build relationships with leaders at various levels.
• Experience guiding teams of educators through change management processes.
• Experience supporting HQIM implementation with diverse student populations, including students with IEPs and English Learners.
• Experience analyzing data and using it to inform practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom observations and coach teachers and leaders to strengthen literacy implementation.
• Facilitate PLCs and office-hour consultations.
• Support data analysis and instructional planning.
• Analyze student work and formative data to inform decisions.
• Cultivate model classrooms and capture exemplar practices.
• Build knowledge about Amplify programs to support cohesive educator experience across products.
• Deliver district-wide professional development sessions both in person and remotely.
