Job summary

Amplify is seeking an Instructional Coach, Literacy to partner with district and school leaders to strengthen literacy instruction through job-embedded coaching and professional learning. The role emphasizes data-informed instruction and district-aligned initiatives.

You will lead classroom observations, facilitate PLCs, and support instructional planning, with travel across Forest Hills Public Schools. Strong communication and a deep literacy background are essential.

Qualifications

• Passionate about literacy and deep knowledge of structured literacy.
• Experience leading sustained coaching engagements for educators in K-5 or 6-8.
• 5+ years of K-5 or 6-8 ELA teaching experience with demonstrable results.
• Experience collaborating with district leaders and teachers.
• Experience analyzing data to inform instructional practice.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet).
• Willingness to travel locally up to 4 days/week across Forest Hills Public Schools area.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and feedback to teachers and leaders to strengthen literacy instruction.
• Lead classroom observations and coach teachers to improve implementation of Amplify's literacy programs.
• Facilitate PLCs and office-hour consultations.
• Support data analysis and instructional planning.
• Analyze student work and formative assessment data.
• Cultivate model classrooms and capture exemplar instructional practices.
