Job summary

Amplify is seeking an Instructional Coach, Literacy to join our Professional Development team for Anne Arundel County for the 2026-2027 year. The role involves on-site coaching up to four days weekly and planning on the fifth day to meet educator needs.

You will collaborate with district leadership and Amplify’s PD Strategist to tailor coaching approaches and adjust plans to improve literacy outcomes for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Passion for literacy and deep knowledge of reading and writing science.
• Experience leading instructional coaching engagements for K-5 or 6-8.
• 5+ years of literacy teaching experience with demonstrable results.
• Experience guiding teams of educators through change management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom observations and provide feedback to strengthen implementation of Amplify's Literacy suite.
• Conduct model lessons and co-teach with classroom teachers.
• Support unit and lesson planning with grade-level teams or individual teachers.
• Lead PLCs for leaders and teachers and provide office hour consultations.
• Analyze student work and formative data to inform instructional decisions.
