Job summary

Amplify seeks an Instructional Coach for Literacy with LAUSD focus for the 2026-2027 year. You will provide onsite coaching and professional learning for teachers and leaders implementing Amplify literacy products, with emphasis on mCLASS.

Collaboration with district leadership will shape coaching strategy and priorities to improve teaching practice and student outcomes. The role requires travel within LAUSD, strong knowledge of Science of Reading, and a background in K-5 literacy teaching.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading sustained coaching engagements and PD for educators in K-5
• 5+ years of K-5 classroom literacy teaching experience with positive student outcomes
• Demonstrated experience in educational leadership
• Experience analyzing data to inform instructional decisions
• Ability to commute to LAUSD sites up to four days per week

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead region-wide and district-wide professional development for teachers and leaders, in person and remotely
• Conduct observations and provide feedback to strengthen literacy instruction and Amplify product implementation
• Deliver model small-group instruction and co-teaching with classroom teachers
• Facilitate PLCs for leaders and teachers, including office hours and consultations
• Analyze student work and formative assessment data to inform decision-making and responsiveness to learner needs
• Provide recommendations to educators to improve equitable learning outcomes for diverse students
