The Wood Agency Life is recruiting for a 100% remote, independent-contractor life insurance sales role. You’ll help families understand their options, then guide them through the application from your home office.

This 1099 position emphasizes ongoing licensing (if needed), strict compliance with state rules, and a self-managed schedule. You’ll work with multiple carriers and receive mentorship and regular training from the agency leaders.

Qualifications

• Must have or plan to obtain a state life insurance license before first sale.
• 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Comfortable holding appointments by phone or video from a home office.

Responsibilities

• Call or video-chat with people who requested information about life insurance.
• Assess each household's situation and priorities before presenting options.
• Explain coverage choices clearly and help complete the application.
• Guide the family through underwriting and communicate updates until a decision is reached.
• Log each conversation and next steps in the CRM as it happens.
• Maintain ongoing training on products, carriers, and state rules.
