Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking an experienced educator-turned-insurance professional for a 100% remote, 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales role. You’ll connect with families who requested information, guiding them from initial conversation through underwriting, while you manage your own schedule.

You’ll leverage a licensing plan if you don’t already hold a state life insurance license, access exclusive leads, and receive mentorship from the agency leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, coaching, or working in a school setting.
• Ability to explain coverage options in plain language.
• Comfort with scheduling autonomy and independent work.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and note-taking in client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Meet by phone or video with people who have already asked about life insurance.
• Listen to families’ situations, goals, and worries.
• Explain coverage options clearly and complete the application with them.
• Follow each application through underwriting and keep families informed.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM.
• Continue learning as products and regulations evolve.
