Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is hiring a remote life insurance sales professional operating as an independent contractor (1099). You’ll help families understand their options, guide them through the application, and manage the process from home on a schedule you set.

You'll call or video-chat with leads who requested information, assess needs before presenting options, and stay aligned with state licensing requirements. Training and mentorship are provided via the agency.

Qualifications

• Must have or be planning to obtain a state life insurance license before first sale.
• Independent contractor (1099) role; work from home.
• Experience in selling life insurance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Call or video-chat with people who requested life insurance information.
• Assess each household's situation and priorities before presenting options.
• Explain coverage choices in plain language and complete the application with them.
• Follow underwriting through and keep the family updated until a decision.
• Log conversations and next steps in the CRM as they happen.
• Engage in ongoing training on products, carriers, and state rules.
