Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking a fully remote, 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales professional to help families understand and choose coverage. You will book appointments, review finances, explain carrier options, and guide clients through accurate applications.

As a self-directed agent with a banking background, you will work with exclusive leads, multiple carriers, and mentorship from leadership while maintaining compliant CRM records.

Qualifications

• Background in banking, lending, or credit union service.
• Comfortable with forms, disclosures, and precise recordkeeping.
• Able to discuss family finances respectfully and without pressure.
• Independent, self-directed, planning your day and follow-ups.
• Must have or plan to obtain a state life insurance license before selling.

Responsibilities

• Contact people who already requested life insurance information and book appointments.
• Review each household's finances before discussing coverage.
• Explain how options differ across carriers, then complete the application together.
• Handle applications and disclosures accurately for underwriting.
• Track each open case through carrier review and keep clients informed.
• Log activities in the CRM and maintain compliance training.
