Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company focused on responsible credit and transparent pay options for consumers. The Licensing team manages licensing portfolios and regulatory relationships across the U.S.

and international markets, guiding growth in partnership with Legal, Compliance, and Product leadership. This role reports to the Director of Global Licensing and Regulatory Programs and involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely filings and accurate regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• 5 years of licensing/compliance/regulatory experience ideally related to consumer financial services.
• Outstanding time management, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Proven project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Humility, integrity, and a desire to be part of a small but strong team.
• Inquisitive, eager to learn, and able to take ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Support state licensing and reporting launches, including money transmission and lending.
• Collaborate with legal, public affairs, compliance, finance, and tax to meet regulatory obligations.
• Maintain central repository for licensing and reporting obligations.
• Prepare and submit licensing renewals and MSB call reports.
• Identify licensing issues and oversee ongoing regulatory filings in licensing tools.
• Coordinate with leadership to fulfill state licensing requirements.
• Contribute to licensing projects and initiatives and drive process improvements.
