Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a remote Pharmacy Technician to support patients' access to care. You will process registrations, enter prescriptions, and handle inquiries while ensuring accuracy and compliance with SOPs and regulations.

You must reside in the designated state of hire with an active Pharmacy Technician license; you will work with pharmacy systems to verify patient and medication data and assist pharmacists across locations.

Qualifications

• Relevant state licensure and active Pharmacy Technician license required or obtained within 90 days.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-facing environments preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process new patient registrations and prescription data entry in systems per HIPAA guidelines.
• Handle patient inquiries via calls, chats, and emails; coordinate with prescribers and insurers.
• Resolve third-party rejects by gathering information and obtaining necessary overrides.
• Support Pharmacists at the facility and other locations; escalate issues to senior staff.
• Maintain active technician license or certification throughout employment.
