Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist responsible for implementing healthcare strategies and driving patient health outcomes across the region. You will execute patient intervention programs and ensure compliance of clinical pharmacy services, including remote prescription processing, while building strong ties with the medical community.

The role includes mentoring staff, maintaining licensure, and contributing to financial performance through pharmacy programs and wellness services.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD; 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority.
• Experience motivating team members to research and resolve issues.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Willing to work non-standard hours, including evenings, holidays and/or weekends.
• Experience using time management skills to manage multiple projects.
• Experience working with little supervision and escalating when needed.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Implements patient care programs including Medication Therapy Management, Immunization Services, and Payer/Pharma Adherence & Clinical Programs.
• Drives compliance and continuous quality improvement in delivery of clinical pharmacy services; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Drives regional pharmacy financial performance by aligning strategies with company goals and maximizing reimbursements.
• Supports patient experience through consultations, medication management, and wellness services.
• Provides expertise and training to pharmacists and field leadership; promotes teamwork and ethics.
• Conducts data and clinical reviews to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications.
• Reviews drug histories and patient profiles for safe therapy; provides individualized consultation.
• Communicates effectively to build trust with patients and providers.
• Provides feedback on Customer Retention Program with patient comments.
• Provides clinical consultation to patients, doctors, and insurers.
• Follows HIPAA guidelines and all pharmacy laws.
