Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Support Technician to assist with order processing and the preparation and distribution of prescription medications using the fulfillment system. The role follows SOPs and adheres to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include patient data entry, HIPAA-compliant handling of prescription requests, and collaboration with pharmacists across locations. Requires ability to operate machinery and maintain a clean work area, with licensing within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Basic PC skills (start up, use mouse, save files, print, etc.).
• Intermediate keyboarding (at least 25 WPM).
• Able to push/pull/lift with/without accommodation.
• Willing to work a flexible shift.
• 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Process new patient registrations by entering data into the system, handle prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines, and enter refill orders.
• Run automated machinery, sort medications, and transition inventory with quality control focus.
• Count and fill prescriptions, affix labels, pack and ship; maintain clean workspace and equipment.
• Resolve third-party rejects by reviewing information, making corrections, and resubmitting per plan requirements.
• Provide assistance to pharmacists at facility and other locations; escalate issues to senior staff as needed.
