Job summary

West One Capital Group is seeking a Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator in our residential lending department in California. You will build relationships, pre-qualify borrowers, and manage the loan process from application to close using Encompass and Calyx Point.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years as a Mortgage Loan Originator with demonstrated self-generation.
• Proficiency with Encompass and/or Calyx Point.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage products, programs, regulations, and loan closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with existing clientele and database.
• Market loans to West One Capital Group’s database.
• Establish relationships with realtors, CPAs, and referral sources for lending opportunities.
• Represent the company at networking events and lead-generation activities.
• Counsel and pre-qualify homebuyers.
• Complete uniform residential loan applications accurately and efficiently.
• Gather support documentation while ensuring compliance with RESPA, TILA, HMDA.
• Monitor loan progress to adhere to FNMA, FHLMC, VA, FHA, and investor guidelines.
• Communicate with loan processors, buyers, realtors, and builders regarding loan statuses.
• Work in a hybrid environment with remote and office options.
