Job summary

The Baldwin Group, an award-winning insurance brokerage, seeks an Account Manager to act as a technical resource and relationship manager for Commercial Line clients across the U.S. You will work with Account Analysts, Account Consultants, Risk Advisors and insurer partners to deliver prompt, high-quality client service for designated accounts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related insurance experience or associated industry experience.
• Current 2-20 state insurance license or other state license(s) as required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; CIC certification preferred.
• Ability to forge relationships with key insurance markets and carrier representatives.
• Strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and underwriting appetites.
• Ability to analyze complex risk exposures and develop recommendations for clients and prospects.

Responsibilities

• Gather risk information and provide management recommendations for policy renewals and deliver renewals/binders as needed.
• Assist in managing policy activity and refer tasks to Account Analysts.
• Review accounts to identify additional lines of insurance and provide proposals prior to renewal.
• Determine acceptability and placement, complete applications and processing for renewals.
• Present renewal risks to the insurance marketplace for quoting.
• Handle complex contract requirements and client service needs beyond Analyst capabilities.
• Cultivate relationships with Insurance Company Partners and know carrier requirements.
• Document all client and carrier correspondence to keep stakeholders informed.
• Maintain timeliness and completeness to minimize errors and omissions claims.
• Identify opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes.
• Raise issues to leadership when needed.
