Job summary

Aldridge Pite, LLP is seeking a remote Legal Assistant to support lawyers in bankruptcy, foreclosure, residential real estate or mortgage law across multi-state matters. The role involves drafting pleadings, filing electronically, organizing case files and communicating with courts and clients.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience, with preference for foreclosure practice and multi-state service knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
• Judicial foreclosure service experience highly preferred.
• Paralegal certificate a plus but not required; multi-state service knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process the sales and post-sale workload for assigned states.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, briefs, motions and agreements.
• Electronically file pleadings within deadlines and manage high-volume filings.
• Prepare correspondence and proof legal forms for accuracy.
• Organize and track case files; provide timely client updates.
• Communicate with courts, title vendors and other third parties.
• Monitor sale/post-sale tasks for foreclosure caseloads.
• Ensure timely billing at all billable events and milestones.
• Handle other projects or tasks as assigned.
