Job summary

Aldridge Pite, LLP, a multi-state law firm, is seeking a remote Legal Assistant to support lawyers in bankruptcy, foreclosure, residential real estate, and mortgage matters. The role involves drafting documents, filing pleadings, organizing files, and communicating with clients and courts from a home-office setting.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, and at least one year of legal support experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least 1 year experience working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
• Paralegal certificate a plus but not required.
• Prefer knowledge of multi-state process of service in a judicial environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in the representation of clients in judicial foreclosure proceedings.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, briefs, motions and agreements.
• Electronically file pleadings within strict deadlines and manage high-volume filings.
• Prepare correspondence and proof legal forms and documents.
• Organize and track case files and provide timely client updates.
• Communicate with courts, title vendors and other third parties.
• Monitor and handle Judgment related tasks for the caseload.
• Ensure billing is completed in a timely manner at billable events.
