Job summary

Meteor Education seeks a Learning Environment Specialist to partner with schools, delivering transformative learning environments. This remote role is based in the San Antonio or Victoria, TX areas and involves traveling to client sites to build relationships and drive project revenue.

You will work with Meteor’s marketing, business development and support teams to create customer value and growth. The position requires 3+ years of field sales experience in K-12 education, strong presentation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field sales experience in K-12 education is preferred.
• Develop and manage an active pipeline; travel 3+ days per week.
• Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills required.
• Proactive prospecting and client relationship management are essential.

Responsibilities

• Growth Strategy: Develop account strategies, territory planning and admin responsibilities to ensure customer satisfaction
• Growth Strategy: Develops and utilizes quarterly business plans aligned with marketing strategies through account base analysis, cross-functional collaboration and customer insights
• Growth Strategy: Prospect for new accounts and business development opportunities
• Growth Strategy: Secure new customers by spending time in the field and managing schedules to call on clients
• Growth Strategy: Increase sales revenue at or above target margin through business development
• Customer Experience: Own the customer relationship before, during and after the sale
• Customer Experience: Involve Learning Experience Coordinators and Interior Designers as part of the sales process to create Prosocial Learning Environments/Experiences
• Customer Experience: Engage high-level school, district, architectural and community stakeholders to gain consensus and facilitate change
• Customer Experience: Manage existing client renewals and relationships
• Customer Experience: Improve communication during fulfillment to ensure client satisfaction
• General: Develop as a product and learning experience expert to promote Meteor offerings
• General: Travel 3+ days a week
• General: Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients
• General: Conduct sales reporting as necessary
• General: Participate in trade shows and professional development opportunities
• General: Use consultative selling to qualify budget, authority, need and timing
• General: Be a self-starter and work autonomously
• General: 3+ years field sales experience; K-12 experience a plus
• General: Prospect for new business and manage large pipeline
• General: Proficiency in prospecting, territory management, time management, presentation, negotiation, closing, problem solving and customer service
• General: Experience closing B2B deals ranging from $5,000 to over $50,000
• General: Think strategically and pay attention to detail
• General: Excellent written and oral communication skills
• General: Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required
• General: Pass criminal background and drug screening
• General: Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and web searching
